MCW Global’s 2024 Young Leaders Fellowship might be your opportunity to drive local change globally. This uniqueΒ year-long leadership initiativeΒ is open to young people from around the world, equipping them with the skills, global citizenship awareness, and visionary thinking necessary to make a difference in the fields of education, health, and economic security.
The 2024 Young Leaders Fellowship in New York comprises
1. Community Needs Assessment (Virtual) β 1 Month : The program kicks off with a one-month virtual Community Needs Assessment, bringing together young leaders from diverse backgrounds worldwide. During this phase, participants gain crucial insights into the specific needs of their local communities, setting the stage for effective action.
2.Vision Planning & Project Development (In-Person) β 10 Days : Following the virtual assessment, participants come together for a 10-day in-person training program. Here, they refine their ideas for addressing community issues and transform their passion into a concrete action plan. This phase includes inspiring speakers, engaging workshops, events, and collaborative group work that help participants understand their role in global change.
3.Project Implementation & Alumni Mentorship (Virtual) β 10 Months : The final phase focuses on the execution of action plans.Β Young LeadersΒ are paired with alumni mentors who offer guidance throughout the year. These mentors have graduated from the program and provide invaluable support through quarterly “hangouts” and ongoing communication. They undergo specialized training to foster team-building and cultural understanding among the diverse group of Young Leaders.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Demonstrate a commitment to their community.
- Identify an issue in education, health, or economic security.
- Be aged 18-26 at the program’s start (June 1, 2024).
- Be fluent in written and spoken English.
- Commit to the program’s various phases.
- Have access to email and the internet.
- Adhere to graduation guidelines.
- Be eligible for appropriate travel documentation.
- Submit the application by November 12, 2023.

Application Information
EnsureΒ all application components are in English, including recommendation letters and resumes. The application includes general information, essay questions, a resume (1 page max), two letters of recommendation, and a liability waiver.
