In today’s rapidly changing world, combatting social and economic inequality requires innovative solutions and empowered leaders. The Fellowship Program in UK 2024 is a beacon for change-makers, offering an unparalleled opportunity to make a real difference. Hosted at the prestigious International Inequalities Institute at the London School of Economics and Political Science, this fully-funded Fellowship program is calling dedicated individuals with a passion for combating inequality.
Engaging Social Change Leaders
The Fellowship Program in UK 2024 invites mid-career individuals with a minimum of seven years of experience in addressing various aspects of social and economic inequality. This program stands out for its inclusivity, welcoming policymakers, researchers, activists, practitioners, artists, and movement-builders from diverse backgrounds worldwide. Now in its eighth cohort, this program aims to empower participants by providing a platform to pause, reflect, and revitalize their efforts in tackling social and economic inequalities.
Areas of Focus
Participants in the Fellowship Program in UK 2024 delve into a range of fields related to social and economic equity. These include economic and social rights, sustainability and environmental activism, tax justice and economic alternatives, women’s, minority, and disability rights, rights to education, democracy and governance, housing and urban inequalities, labor rights, community organizing, arts and culture, and peacebuilding and transitional justice.
Two Distinct Tracks
The program offers two tracks tailored to accommodate diverse needs:
Residential Track: Fellows in this track spend a transformative year in London. They undertake the MSc in Inequalities and Social Science degree at LSE, supplemented by four specialized fellowship modules. Led by AFSEE Executive Director Professor Armine Ishkanian and AFSEE Programme Lead Dr. Sara Camacho Felix, these modules focus on foundational knowledge, policy for equity, challenging inequality, and debates around inequality.
Non-Residential Track: Designed for individuals who prefer staying in their home countries, this track allows fellows to work on a practice-based project. Non-Residential Fellows actively participate online and in-person for fellowship modules, culminating in a Postgraduate Certificate in Social and Economic Equity upon successful completion.
